EDS - Ebsco Discovery Service

The EDS - Ebsco Discovery Service searches the foreign language content accessible through the library in one interface: scientific databases, e-journals and e-books.
• The EDS is available from all campuses within the university network. Remote access is possible via openVPN.
• The EDS includes subscribed resources as well as open-access information. With EDS you can have access to full-text content as well.
• The EDS searches the following contents:
o databases (EBSCO, ERIC, JSTOR, SCOPUS, SPRINGER, Web of Science)
o pedagogical and IT e-books in English by Springer Publishers
o freely available sources (eg. BASE, DOAJ - Directory of Open Access Journals, Europeana)
o open-access articles from non-subscribed databases (e.g. Science Direct)
• With EDS you can:
o perform a basic or an advanced search, specify search fields, limit the results to full text etc.
o save and print the results
o choose the language and find detailed information in English (Help)
o create a personal folder (eg. to save the results)
